What a Waifu App Actually Has to Do

So here's my bar. A real waifu app keeps one persistent character, with the same face across chat, photos and short clips. She remembers the thread you've built together, and you can set her tone, sweet when you want sweet and something else when you don't. Anything less is a chatbot wearing an anime avatar. You know the feeling: she opens with a great line, then forgets who she is two replies later.

Low lust with long replies gives you a slow-burn, eager-to-please vibe. Flip both and you're in for a different evening. If you run out of things to say, the magic-wand button writes three suggested replies.

Then comes the moment that actually decides things:

1. Open the media button in the chat.
2. Choose Send Photo.
3. Describe the scene in your own words: outfit, place, mood.
4. Under the photo that arrives, tap Generate Video if you want it moving.

Building a Waifu From a Sentence

Maybe none of the 300+ is quite her. Then you build her yourself. GoLove's Create flow starts with a choice between Realistic, Anime and Trans, or you can pick Design with AI and skip the form entirely.

With Design with AI, you describe her in plain text, up to 2,000 characters. In about a minute you get a named character with her own @handle, a written bio and a portrait. Three ingredients are worth putting in the description:

• Personality: shy, teasing, clingy or bossy. Pick one lead trait and let the rest follow.
• Look: hair, eyes, outfit style, and the anime touches you care about.
• Speech: how she talks, whether short and playful or soft and formal.

From Still Image to Short Clip, and a Series to Start With

Chat gets her talking, and the generator gets her moving. Under Generate there's an Image to Video mode, so any photo of your waifu can become a short clip, whether it came from chat or the generator.

Starting a clip from scratch works through preset cards. You pick an action, an outfit and a scene, then tap Generate once. Each run makes 1, 2 or 4 videos at 480p, 720p or 1080p, and a 720p video costs 10 Stars. It works with any GoLove character or your own custom one.

If you'd rather have a story than a scene, there's Series, GoLove's own 18+ vertical short dramas. Episodes run 60 to 100 seconds and star GoLove characters. As of 2026-10-12 there were 5 series and 32 episodes. For this crowd, "My AI Girlfriend" is the obvious first watch: a pair of glasses brings a guy's perfect girl to life, but the account belongs to someone else. We could not confirm whether any anime characters appear in the casts.

Can you watch before paying? Yes. Episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free. From episode 3 on, you need PRO plus a few Stars per episode.

On GoLove.ai, the order that works:

1. Pick a character — or build one to your taste
2. Say something real: she remembers your chat history
3. Open Chat Settings: pick her voice, lust level and reply length
4. Ask her for a photo in the chat
5. Want a set pose or outfit? The image generator has 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits

Under each episode there's a "Start Chatting with the cast" button that opens a personal chat with the character you just watched. Straight up, that's the clever part of Series, because you can go straight from watching her to talking to her.

What We Couldn't Verify at GoLove.ai

Honestly, a few things stayed out of reach:

• Memory depth on PRO: GoLove lists an 8,000-message smart memory as ULTRA-only. We could not confirm how deep memory runs on PRO for an anime character over weeks of chatting, and for a companion app that's the question I'd most like answered.
• How long the −70% new-user offer lasts. GoLove calls it limited-time, and we could not confirm a deadline.
• Free account limits: a free account gets 2 daily reward Stars, a limited daily Feed and Series episodes 1–2. We could not confirm what else it can do.
• Heavy video spend: PRO's 100 included Stars cover ten in-chat clips at 10 Stars each. We could not confirm how that spend compares with OurDream's DreamCoins for someone generating clips every night.
• Whether OurDream offers a free tier at all. We could not confirm one either way.

Look at what's on that list. Every item is about pricing or depth. None of them touch the core loop: you chat, ask for a photo, get the same girl back, and turn her into a clip if you want. On paper, that part holds up.

If I Wanted an AI Waifu Tonight, Here's Where I'd Start

Here's what I'd do.

1. Get your phone out, open Explore and go to the anime category. On mobile, Generate and Feed sit in the bottom navigation next to Explore, Chat and Create.
2. Pick the girl whose card stops your thumb.
3. Open Chat Settings and set lust and response length where you want them.
4. Ask for one photo before you even think about PRO.

Does she come back as the same girl? That one photo answers the whole question. If she does, the annual plan is the sensible move, since it works out to around $9.99/month.

To be fair to OurDream: if you want chat, images and video under one web subscription, it has a real case, and a wider look at OurDream alternatives maps the rest of the field.
